Obituary of Andre Fortin
In Loving Memory of
André Fortin
Andre left this life suddenly on March 29th, after a long painful battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife of 10 years, Joan Phillips, and his 2 fur babies Belle and Maggie.
Andre was born on February 23, 1945 in Hull Quebec to Donald Fortin and Simonne Villeneuve. When he was a young child the family moved to Temiscaming Quebec.
He is survived by his 5 children, Josee (Denis), France, JP, Tina, Dominic (Sebastian) and his 3 step-children Lance ( Christine), Jolene (Adam) and Laryl ( Brian), his sister Lise Seamont (Francis), and his brothers Serge, Gilles and Jean-Marc. Andre loved to spend time and spoil his 12 grandchildren Eric, Alexandre, (deceased) Thalya, Maika, Louka, Kayla, Steven, Patrick, Meggan, Daphnee, Gabriel, and Rachelle, 8 step-grandchildren Isabelle, Madeline, Anne, Olivia, Lasha, Jailyn, Felix and Angus and 3 great-grandchildren whenever possible.
Andre successfully owned and operated Ambulance Temiscaming for over 37 years – often working on-call 24 hours a day for 2 weeks at a time.
Andre was a fun outgoing man who loved to sing and dance. He had an amazing joy for life – he was always the life of any party. Andre loved to shop, he loved to plan and cook big meals or decorate every inch of the yard for holidays like Christmas or Halloween. He loved to dress up in costumes. Everyone has a favourite “Andre” story which will continue to provide us with happy memories whenever we think of him. We miss him already!

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Andre
