It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Nina Marlene Moore (McEvoy) (Anderson) passed away on Thursday March 25, 2021. She was in her 82nd year, at IOOF Nursing Home in Barrie. Loving wife of Douglas Moore (predeceased). Loving mother of Hal (Arlene) McEvoy, Cheryl (Gary) Gentle, Terri McEvoy (predeceased) and Sandra McEvoy. Cherished grandma of Adam, Kaley, Marshall and Curtis. Great Grandma (GG) to six grandchildren. Dear cousin to Norma Cerswell. She will be sadly missed by many. After Mom moved to Barrie she retired to Whispering Pines Retirement Home for 9 years. Then had a fall and moved to IOOF Home for the last few weeks. Mom was very involved in volunteer work for most of her life. Started Brownies, Girl Guides, Camp Supervisor, Crisis Hotline. Also very involved with her church work with the Salvation Army in Orillia. She retired from Huronia Regional Centre in Orillia as a Switchboard Supervisor. Her heart was full of love for her children and grandchildren. Mom loved her books and would read a book every couple of days! A family funeral service by invitation only will be held in the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Home, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595 on Saturday April 3, 2021 at 11 o’clock. The funeral service will be Livestreamed on YouTube.com, Go to the Carson Funeral Home Channel. If you require any assistance please call the funeral home. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Orillia Salvation Army of your favorite charity would be appreciated.
