I guess if you are reading this, I must have passed on while
reading the Herald. Stanley Hibbert
McCormick, 87, of Maccan passed away at home Tuesday,
March 16, 2021.
Son of the late Trueman and Grace (Alyward) McCormick of
Springhill.
The husband of Gwen (McLellan) and father of Dawn, Charlene
(Everett Delahunt), Cindy (Steven Cameron), Tracy (Nolan Borden),
Joseph (Lisa Cormier), son-in-law Barry Anderson, as well as close
family friend Pattie Burbine. He will be greatly missed by 12
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Stan is also survived by
sisters Jean (Gary Hurley), Elizabeth (Ronnie Best) both of Parrsboro
and close cousin Ann Rushton of Springhill. He will be remembered by
brother-in-laws Jack McLellan (Christie Ann) and Sterl McLellan as
well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by daughter Margo Anderson, son-in-law Peter
Edwards, nephew Kevin Hurley, and sister-in-laws Carol (Earl) Burbine
and Monica McLellan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones
Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS
(902-667-8777). Cremation has taken place and following
Stan’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
Donations in memory of Stan may be made to Cumberland Hospice
or the charity of choice.
