Obituary
Wardell, Robert Rogers (1929-2020) – It is with extreme sadness that we announce that dad passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Thursday, December 31st, 2020 due to COVID. He was the most loving, awesome father of Rob Wardell, Cindy Murdoch Wardell, and Sue (Dan) Wilford. Father-in-law to Vicki Wardell. Loving Grandpa to BJ Wardell (Gina), Billie Jo Koebel (Cody), Lindsay Wardell (Shawn), Melissa Koebel, Justin Babineau, Mike Wilford (Paula) and Matt Wilford (Michaela). He was a Great grandpa to eleven as well as an uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife Verna, infant son Mark, grandson Jeff Murdoch, and brother Gene Wardell (Marlene). He will be missed by his dear friend Gert Fewster and her family. Dad was a hard working man with a great sense of humour (sometimes he was the only one that found it funny and would get that grin on his face). He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Always there with a helping hand. A private burial will take place with a celebration of life in the future. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (519-539-0004). Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed online at www.brockandvisser.com
