Muxlow Margaret ‘Faye’ 2021

Muxlow, Margaret ‘Faye’
M. Faye Muxlow (née Brown) of Collingwood passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital surrounded by her family at the age of 80 after many years of battling health issues. Faye was born January 21, 1941, in Meaford, daughter of the late Keith and Elsie (née Irwin) Brown.
Faye married the man of her dreams in 1960 at the age of 20; George Muxlow; he was the apple of her eye and they spent 60 loving years together always by each other’s side. Together they owned and operated a family business, Brown’s Radio Taxi, for 20 years in Collingwood.
Family was the most important thing to Faye. She has three beautiful children; Pat (Laurie) Beaubien, Keith (deceased 1988), and Susan (Fred Carnrite). She enjoyed many years of camping and snowmobiling when they were younger and was involved in their sports, travelling to arenas for all figure skating competitions and hockey tournaments.
Faye always had a smile and a twinkle in her eyes and was a wonderful grandmother to 4 wonderful grandchildren, Andrew, Derek Muxlow-Carnrite (deceased 1995), Jodie Muxlow-Carnrite and Kyle Carnrite. Having a special relationship with each one. She was also looking forward to becoming a Great-Gramma to her beautiful Great-Grandson “peanut” due in June.
Andrew and Gramma would have daily conversations on the phone, they enjoyed drinking tea in the evenings and Andrew would join Gramma and Grampa for euchre at the Collingwood Legion. She would meet Jodie and Kyle after school and walk them home everyday. Jodie and Gramma would put makeup on in the morning before daycare. She was so proud that Jodie followed through with her swimming and got all her swimming levels. Kyle would always entertain Gramma with conversations and random funny comments, and it was said it was never a dull moment for them. She would attend every soccer and football game the grandkids played/coached and was always there for encouragement and to cheer them on with everything they did. She was very proud of all of the grandkids and everything they accomplished and succeeded at and was even there to help them through the failures and encourage them for next time.
Faye was happiest when she was busy and loved to shop and was always on the go. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, being a member of the red hatters, and volunteering. Faye made friends wherever she went and loved living in Raglan Village since there were always things to do in Raglan. Faye and George always loved going to all the activities and events hosted at Raglan and even dressed up for every holiday and occasion. Faye also loved to travel and visit family with trips to the USA, Gananoque, Sudbury, Windsor, Trenton and Hamilton.
During Quarantine George and Faye were unable to go for their morning coffee at McDonald’s with friends and visit their friends at Raglan so they adopted many ducks and swans at the waterfront and would go visit and feed them every day for their lunch date. Faye was known by many and loved by all, she is gone for now but never forgotten.
