Union Steward CAW #222
On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Earl Douglas Church (66 years) passed away at his home in Cameron, Ontario. He was the son of the late Leonard and Margaret (Marr) Church of Fenelon Falls. Earl is lovingly remembered by his sisters Elayne (George) Wardell of Paris and Joan Church of Toronto, and his step-daughters Sara Toms of Red Deer, Alberta and Erin Barkwell of Oshawa. He was also a special uncle and great uncle to Glenn Wardell, Lynn (Bob) Aitchison and Clinton of Brantford, Rob (Shannon) Miedema, Logan, Paige and Margot of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Christy (Darryl) Hunt and Audrey of Simcoe, Dustin (Steph) Minns and Maisie, Jordan Minns, Jacob (Ashley) Wardell, Everett and Eden, Nakita Minns and Jarrod Wardell, all of Brantford. He was predeceased by his brother John (1996), sisters Jan (2019) and Linda (2020). Earl loved spending time with his dog Boz enjoying the outdoors, taking care of his lawn, gardening, reading, fishing, cooking, listening to music, watching movies and visiting with his many friends. He worked at the General Motors truck plant in Oshawa and took great pride in being a union steward for CAW 222. He had a great sense of humour, often helped others and was a loyal son, brother and friend. Private arrangements have been made with JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE, 8 Princes’ St. W., Fenelon Falls. If desired, memorial donations to Kawartha Conservation or the Kawartha Lakes Humane Society would be appreciated. Condolences, stories or photos can be shared on-line at: www.jardinefuneralhome.com
