Obituary of Maggie Collins
Osmond-Collins: Margaret Mable –
A resident of Chatham, formerly of Grand Bank NL, Maggie Collins peacefully passed away surrounded by family at Riverview Gardens on February 27, 2021 at the age of 85.
Born in Newport Newfoundland, Maggie was the daughter of the late Elias and Jane Collins (nee Glover).
Beloved wife of the late Malcolm Osmond and the late Rex Collins.
Loving mother to Mary (Fred) Rose, Shirley (Dorman) Scott, Daphne (Terry) Barker and George Osmond (Karen Cameron).
Grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Sister to Marie (George) Collins, Ross (Emily) Collins, and sister in law to Hilda Collins and Geraldine Collins.
Predeceased by siblings Alfred Collins, Marjorie (late David) Lush, Elizabeth (late Samuel) McAllister, and Donald Collins.
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family of Rex Collins, and close friends.
Maggie will be remembered for her love of her family, especially the many grandchildren, who’s lives she greatly influenced. The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff of Riverview Gardens for their amazing care and support to Maggie over the past few years.
Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place back home in NL at a future date.
Donations made in memory of Maggie to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
