Obituary of Shawn Hillis
It is with great sorrow and love that the family of Shawn James Hillis announces his passing on the beautiful sunny morning of Thursday, February 25th, 2021. He was in his 49th year.
He met the love of his life and shared a loving and respectful relationship. They enjoyed many adventures together with their friends and family. If you were one of the lucky ones to be invited to share a meal, you knew that Shawn and the Traeger smoker would serve up the best meat you have ever tasted. Shawn was cherished and respected by all who knew him. His dry wit and hillbilly grunt will never be forgotten by his tribe.
Shawn was a loving husband to Vickie Willan. Beloved son of Ruth Murphy (Gilbert) of Kincardine and Alvin Hillis (Mary) of Owen Sound. Dear brother of Tricia Hillis of Owen Sound and Patty Hofmann of Kamloops, BC. Special step-son of Sharron Hillis of Victoria BC. He was the son-in-law of Bob and Sylvia Willan, brother-in-law of Jamie, Judy and Janet Willan, step-brother of Mike and Denis Murphy and uncle to Vinnie Wagner, Maya and Lucas Willan.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Chapman House Hospice or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #383, Tara are appreciated and can be made through the Brian E.
