Obituary of Colleen Hewitson
Colleen Yvonne Hewitson of Owen Sound passed away at Chapman House Hospice, Owen Sound on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in her 86th year.
Beloved wife of Harvey Hewitson. Loving mother of Ken Hewitson of Owen Sound and Cathy Best of Barrie. Cherished grandmother of Vanessa Hewitson (Aaron), Evelyn Quigley (Jarrod), Bobby Hewitson (Shyla), Kenny Hewitson (Kloe), Michael Hewitson, Lily Best (Mateo) and Linnea Best. Cherished great grandmother of Anthony Hewitson, Quinn and Kaylee Quigley, Owen, Lily and Grayson Hewitson. Dear sister of Doug and his wife Irene Lundy of Burlington. Colleen will also be remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Howard and Evelyn Lundy and her brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday, February 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Due to COVID19 restrictions all attendees must wear a mask, follow social distancing protocols and RSVP through the funeral home website, or by calling the funeral home. A private funeral service to celebrate Colleen’s life will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Friends are welcome to watch the service at 11:00 a.m. via livestream by selecting the ‘LIVE STREAMING’ menu option at the top right corner of the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca). A video recording of the service will also be posted to Colleen’s webpage later in the day. Spring interment will be taking place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Georgian Bluffs.
