Suddenly at his home in Washago on Monday February 15, 2021 at the age of 36. Dan Gavin, beloved husband of Brandi Gavin. Adored father of Lily Gavin. Loved son of Candy Gavin and Russ Gavin and son-in-law of Dan Burgie and Wanda Burgie (Eric). Loving brother of Shawn Gavin (Emely), Bryan Gavin (predeceased), Chris Raithby (Bonnie) and Miranda Raithby. Will be sadly missed by his grandmother Audrey Gavin and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special uncle to Kaylee Barton and Isaiah Fleming, Christopher and Samantha Gavin, Patience and Nolan Raithby, Brycen Gavin, Charlotte and Madelyn Burgie, Brooklyn and Victor DeWitt. Danny had so many special friends in his life. He loved them all like family. He had such a fun-loving presence and always lit up a room. Danny could make friends with every person he met. He could sell ice to an Eskimo. He will be extremely missed by so many people. I would like to thank all of our amazing friends and family for the support, food, kind words and just being there. There are way too many people to name but Lily and I are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Monday February 22, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Due to Covid-19 restrictions attendance is limited to a specific number of persons within the facility at any one time. Please use the RSVP system to schedule your time. You are instructed to arrive just a few minutes prior to your desired time. Staff will advise when space permits within the funeral home. The visitation time is allocated to 10 minutes. Please be aware that others will have scheduled their time with the family. Gathering outside of the facility is not permitted. Face masks are to be worn in the funeral home at all times and social distancing is to be practised.
