Obituary
Helen Anne Ramsdale/Younger (Meyers)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen on February 13th, 2021 at the Riverview Health Centre.
She was predeceased by children Gayla (1968) & Robyn Ramsdale (1997), husbands George Ramsdale & Fred Younger, parents Ernie & May Meyers,& brothers George & Earl Meyers, and special aunt Hazel Favel.
She leaves behind, son Dale (Janie) Ramsdale, grandsons Drew Ramsdale (Jennifer) & Ryan Ramsdale (Keri) , great grandchildren Eli, Eva & Jake Ramsdale.
Helen was born December 30, 1930 in Fort Frances, Ontario and grew up living in Emo, Ont. In 1949, Helen married George, moved to Winnipeg, Mb. They were married for 24 years until George’s passing in 1973. In 1978 she married Fred, and they were married until his passing in 1997.
She was a people person, making many friends over the years and taking many trips to visit family & friends in Northwestern Ontario. She loved her trips to Branson & New Orleans, Western Caribbean cruise, and Punta Cana.
Our family would like to thank both the Rosewood (Maple House) and the Riverview Health Centre for the wonderful care during her later years.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A private family service will be planned for a future date with her burial at the Emo Cemetery.
