George, April Dawn – 46, Bass River, Colchester Co., passed away suddenly on February 8, 2021 at home. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Gail (Urquhart) and the late Richard Rushton.
April had a great love for her “fur babies,” one Boston terrier and two French Bulldogs. She also enjoyed her home in Bass River. She was truly devoted to her husband, Kevin, and was always there by his side going for drives. April loved being with her grandchildren – family and friends were her life. April enjoyed calling her cousin Daphne Nickerson every day to see how things were going. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Kevin; mother, Gail Rushton; son, Justin Rushton (Nicole Coates); brother, Rick Rushton (Lindsay); grandchildren, Summer-Lynn and Malaci; her in-laws, Lisa Savage (Allan), Pamela George (Perry), Angela Kent, Louis George, step father in law, Bob Buchanan, mother in law, Mary George; special niece and nephew, Tanisha Rushton and Dylan Rushton; many uncles aunts and cousins.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by grandson, Asher.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later date in Bass River Baptist Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
