Mr. Herman Yacks, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Fairfield Park Nursing Home, at the age of 70 years. Herman was born in Florence, Ontario and was a son of the late Bill and Clara (Blair) Yacks. Beloved husband of Carol Ann (Cupit) Yacks. Loving father of Tammy Marcum Nichols, Guy Nichols, Charles Nichols (Karin), George Nichols (Stephanie), Shirley Nichols Baker (Shawn), (Barbara Chauvin) Billy Yacks, Devin Howard (Bill), (Shirley Yacks) Joseph Yacks, Dennis Yacks and Amanda Yacks. Kind grandfather of Penny, Tamara, Dakota, John, Dalton, Dawson, Tucker, Krystal, Kayla, Jacklyn, Jessica, Jasmine, Nikki, Shawn, Kenneth, Charles, Jeffrey, Guy, Violet, Katie, Claudia, Carol, Samatha, Alex, Alyssa, Joey and Timothy. The kind great grandfather of 18 great grandkids that loved him very much and will miss him. Kind brother of Judith (Ted) Kirk, Eldon (Doreen) Yacks, Vanessa (Bradley) Maynard, Ruth Sharp and Doug Alexander(the late Betty). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his step father Henry Alexander and a brother Brian Yacks.
The late Herman Yacks rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following Herman’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
