La célébration de
Dr. James Miller
11 avril 1938 –
5 février 2021
Dr. James “JB” Miller died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of February 5th, 2021 in his 83rd year. Loving husband to Mary Jane, father to Timothy and Michael, father-in-law to Pamela and Karena, and grandfather to Murryn, Liam, Jonah, Sam, as well as numerous dogs, cats and birds. Jim served as a family physician in the Applewood community and at the Mississauga Hospital (now Trillium Health network) for over 50 years. He was also a long-time and active member of St. Hilary’s Anglican church in Mississauga. Jim loved to travel and went on many excursions around the world, with his wife, exploring the culture, sights and submarine vistas. Learning to SCUBA in 1962, James was a passionate diver throughout his active years, and felt as much at home under the waves as he was on land. He was also passionate about photography – a number of his pictures were featured in various calendars. He loved his family dearly and would do anything for them, often generously giving up his time and efforts, however, what defined him for many was his dedication as a physician. Opening his family practice in 1966, James welcomed countless babies to the world, took care of numerous generations within a family, and was loved and respected by his many patients. In his twilight years, Jim was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, robbing him of so much of his life and plans for retirement. He will be dearly missed by so many, near and far. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Parkinson’s Canada in his name. Celebration of life service to follow in the summer.
