Marguerite Louise MacAlpine
1938-2021
Born on July 2nd, 1938 in Lower Cambridge Queens’ Co. to the
late Wallace N. and Marjorie E. (Burpee) MacAlpine. Passed February
4th, 2021 at Hospice House Fredericton, NB.
Marguerite is survived by brother David (RuthAnn); sisters
Christine MacAlpine, Janet Kenny, Kathleen Gourley, Betty Arthurs
(Brian); sister in law Marion MacAlpine; several nieces and
nephews.
She is predeceased by brother Charles and brothers in law
Ronald Kenny and Stephen Gourley.
Marguerite graduated from United Baptist Bible Training
School in Moncton, Teacher’s College in Fredericton, and
Oulton’s Business College in Moncton. She worked 30+ years
in the accounting department of the New Brunswick
government.
Marguerite was an active member of St. Paul’s
United Church, the Fredericton Society of Artists and the Stepping
Stones Senior Centre. In the past she took part in the Fredericton
chapter of Mind Care NB and the Fredericton Historical
Society.
Due to regulations regarding physical distancing, a private
service will take place at St. Paul’s United Church on
Wednesday, February 10th, 2020 at 2:00pm, by
invitation only. The service will be live streamed at the following

An interment will take place in the spring at Riverbank
Cemetery, Norton, New Brunwick. For those who wish in lieu
of flowers donations may be made to Mind Care Fredericton, St
Paul’s United Church, or charity of donor’s choice
would be appreciated.
