Obituary
SIMON, Katherine
It is with profound sadness that the family of Katherine Simon announce her peaceful passing at her residence on January 31, 2021, just five weeks before her 107th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Michael and all her siblings, Elizabeth (Nick), Mary (Lewis), John, (Anna), Jack (Catherine), Evelyn (Larry), and Stephen (Margaret). Katherine was born near Bruno, SK in March, 1914 to Jacob and Mary (Braun) Huber. She married Michael in 1945 and together they farmed near Viscount, SK and raised their family. After retiring, they moved to Saskatoon and became enthusiastic bowlers, and she also loved sewing, knitting, gardening and baking. Katherine will be dearly missed by her daughters, Janet (Don) Loran, and Carol Simon (Mel Munstermann), and her grandchildren, Leanne, Heather, and Christopher. The family is sincerely grateful to her caregivers and the staff at St. Angela Merici Residence. The Funeral Liturgy for family will be Friday, February 5th at 1:00 p.m. and will be live-streamed at: www.saintannes.ca/saint-annes-parish-online .
