Obituary of Eric Raymond Smith
Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Douglas Memorial Hospital.
Loving husband of Hazel and much loved father of Kim Smith (Cheryl Cascaden), Gary Smith (Gerrie Amos) and Theresa Read (Paul Read).
Cherished grandfather of Tyler Smith, Ashley Smith (Jim Mathewson), Madison Smith, Cole Smith, Sean Read and great grandfather of Jack Mathewson.
Eric was a wonderful husband and father who throughout his life would assist anyone that needed help and never ask for anything in return.
Eric took great pleasure in helping family and friends with home renovations, was passionate about gardening, vegetable growing, watching his grandchildren grow and play sports, and, enjoying a drink with family and friends. Never one to say no to a beer on any occasion, he will be forever missed.
In keeping with Eric’s wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the CNIB.
