Obituary of Thomas Joseph Nolan
Nolan, Thomas Joseph – of Acton, Ontario, in his 75th year. Passed away January 30, 2021 at his residence after a battle with aggressive cancer. He was born January 31, 1946 on Bell Island, Newfoundland, moved to Ontario in 1963, only to return to Newfoundland in 1984 resuming employment with Nortel until the closing of the plant in 2000, returning to Ontario in 2012. Tom will join his grandson Ashton, parents Tom and Margaret, In-laws Gordon and Lily Hilts, along with brothers Clarence (Ruth), Gerald and Kenneth.
He is survived by his wife and caregiver, Bonnie, daughter Tammy, sons Troy (Cherie) and Thomas (Sherry) as well as much loved grandchildren Kevin, Samantha, Austin, Adam, Aaron and Darcy. Tom also leaves behind brothers Domenic (Daisy) and Patrick (Dianne), and sisters Faye, Anita (Lewis) and Kathy (Jamie), and many friends and family who will sadly miss him. Special thanks to CASHH, Acclaim Health and Palliative Care during this difficult time.
A private farewell will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Donations to CASHH in Tom’s honour would be appreciated.
