James Earl Cleghorn 2021

The family of James Earl Cleghorn are sad to announce his
passing on January 31, 2021 at Wauklehegan Manor in McAdam NB. He was
born in Harvey Station NB on June 13, 1940 to parents, the late
Vincent and Margaret (Holt) Cleghorn. James was married to the late
Betty Jo (Smith) Cleghorn.
James is survived by his daughters, Debbie Cleghorn (Henry)
of Ottawa On, Cindy Cleghorn (Randy) of Hoyt NB, Karen Davidson (Kirk)
of Hoyt NB; stepsons, Ricky Coombs (Gail) of Bangor and Brian Wardwell
(Karen) of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Corey Walsh (Tara), Maggie Walsh
(Rob), Eric Turner (Tammy), Kenneth Cleghorn, Adam Cleghorn; five
great grandchildren, as well as several cousins. Also left to mourn
his passing is his special friend Marlene Bell. In addition to his
parents and wife, he was predeceased by his daughter Linda
Armstrong.
James enjoyed his working years travelling from province to
province as a long-haul tractor trailer driver with Sunbury Transport
and closer to home for the last few working years as a Home fuel
delivery driver with Esso. The family would like
to thank the wonderful staff at Wauklehegan Manor for the wonderful
care that and compassion that you have shown to our Dad while he was a
resident there.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home on Thursday
February 4th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. A
Funeral Service by invite only will take place on Friday February
5th at 2pm in Bishop’s Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Wendy MacWilliams officiating (For those unable to
attend the service, you may view the live stream from the Bishops
Funeral Home website). Bishop’s Funeral Home staff will be on site for
the visitation and service to ensure that all Covid 19 restrictions
and protocols are being followed. Interment will be held in the spring
in the Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family have suggested that memorial
donations in James memory may be made to the SPCA, the NB Heart and
Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
