Obituary of STANLEY KMIEC
IN MEMORY OF STANLEY KMIEC
NOVEMEBER 3, 1926 – DECEMBER 26, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Stanley Kmiec at the Victoria Hospital on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
Stanley was the oldest son, coming from a family of three. Stanislaw was a WW2 vet in the Polish Air Force stationed in England. He fought in the Battle of Britain for the freedom of his beloved Poland. He emigrated to Canada in 1949 where he settled in Winnipeg raising a family of 3 children, Janina, Stanley and Zdzislaw. He predeceased our loving mother Janina. Stanley worked and retired from Inland Steel after 49 years. He was able to enjoy retirement travelling to Europe, Canada and the US. Our father supported his children in all our endeavours in life. He was always there for us. He was involved with the church where he helped to build St. Andrew Bobola and always strongly supported his faith. He was President of SPK which he proudly supported over the years. There were many causes he supported which are too many to name. He was respected in the Polish community where he will be missed.
He leaves behind his 3 children, Janine, Stanley and Zdzislaw; niece Terri (Bob) Cooper, nephew Richard (Karen) Kmiec, sister-in-law Teresa Kmiec; 5 grandchildren, Konstandina, Marianna, Jessica, Jeffrey and Corey and their spouses and 7 great grandchildren.
You will finally be reunited with our mother which you took life’s journey with.
Rest in Peace
You will forever remain in our heart
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew Bobola.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of STANLEY
