LEWIS Gary Errol December 22 2021

Sadly, in the early morning of December 22, 2021, Gary Errol Lewis untimely passes away at the age of 82.
He was predeceased by his parents Roy and May (Seay) Lewis. He is survived by his wife Donna Mae and son Ryan; brother Wayne (Deanna); nephews Ron (Susan), Murray (Tonia) and their families.
Gary was born on December 2nd, 1939 in Milden, Saskatchewan. He was raised on the Lewis farm six miles south of County, Saskatchewan. He truly loved farm life, which is where he learned the value of hard work. He was a Proud Saskatchewan Boy, and as he said, “Where the wind blew free and the prairie was flat, you could see for miles.” In 1959 he left the farm to work at the South Saskatchewan River Dam Project.
Gary and Donna Mae married in 1965 and started out in the Peace River Country. They then moved to Edmonton in 1967 where he worked for a couple of engineering firms. In 1975 they moved to Sherwood Park, Alberta where he built his family home and formed his own company, Gary E. Lewis Holdings Ltd.
Gary was a true outdoorsman, strong willed, a true friend and family man. He always made sure that his parents were comfortable and protected. He enjoyed memorable times with his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was motivated by integrity and ethics. He was a man of his word.
The family wishes to honour Gary’s life with a memorial service to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Edmonton Cardiac Institute, 44A, 20 Airport Road Edmonton, AB T5G 0W7. Serenity Funeral Service – South Edmonton, (780)450-0101.
