Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of George Weyman Day announces his peaceful passing, which occurred on Friday, December 24, 2021. Born in Saint John, NB on September 20, 1942, he was a son of the late Francis Alfred and Elmira Mae (McDonald) Day.
George grew up and spent most of his life in Lakewood. He managed the King Square Parking lot and worked as owner and operator for Midland Transport for 27 years, though to him it was more than simply ‘work’. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Thomas Day.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). In keeping with George’s wishes, there will be no services. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Celiac Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Cancer Society.
