Calvin Alfred Sorensen
1957-2021
Calvin A. Sorensen of Nackawic, NB passed away unexpectedly at his
home on December 24, 2021. He was born on March 30, 1957 at
Fredericton, NB, a son of the late Alfred and Ruth (Jensen)
Sorensen.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Corey) Sorensen; two sons, Chris
(Karla) and Corey (Jessica); three grandchildren, Austin, Aiden and
Audrey; his siblings, Milford Sorensen (Judy), Joan Allain (Willie)
and Cheryl Drisdelle (Roland); several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Above all, Calvin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and
nothing gave him more pleasure than being with them. He enjoyed
travelling with and watching his boys play baseball and hockey. As a
sports fan, he loved watching Sunday afternoon football with Susan.
His extended family was the staff at Cal’s Independent Grocer in
Nackawic which they have operated for the past 12 years.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm.
Due to government Covid regulations, masks, proof of double
vaccination and government issued ID are required. Burial will take
place in the spring at Otis Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Calvin, the family
has suggested the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
