Clair Harrison
1931-2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Clair Harrison of Weaver,
NB, announce his passing at the Grand Falls General Hospital on the
evening of December 23, 2021. Clair passed away peacefully with his
family by his side following a brief illness.
Clair was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on February 5, 1931. He was the
son of the lalet Harold and Erma (Goodine) Harrison. Clair leaves
behind his loving wife of 71 years, Juanita Harrison (Toner); his
daughter, Barbara Harrison-Hoyt (Tom) of Fredericton, NB; his sons,
Stephen Harrison (Joy) of Oxbow, NB, Tom Harrison (Jean) of Calgary,
AB, Harvey Harrison (Tammy) of Weaver, NB; eight grandchildren and six
great grandchildren; his sister, Gwen Clyde of Plaster Rock, NB; his
brother, Robert Harrison (Jennie) of Winnipeg, MB.
Clair enjoyed many outdoor activities. Among his favourites were
hunting, fishing, and gardening. Family always came first for Clair.
He is remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather by his
family. He will also be remembered as the family patriarch. He was
very highly respected by everybody who knew him.
Clair’s success was self made. Nothing was given to him and he worked
hard for everything he achieved in life. Clair founded, owned and
operated his own woods contracting company, C. Harrison and Sons Ltd.
One more thing Clair will be remembered for are his recitations of
author Robert Service.
Respecting Clair’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
service held. Interment will be in the Plaster Rock Community Cemetery
at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donation to the IWK or to the Shriners
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
