Obituary of Marie Cooper
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at Lee Manor in Owen Sound on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021. Edith “Marie” Cooper (née Schlorff), of Owen Sound, at the age of 84 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Glenn Cooper. Loving mother of Glenda Seabrook (Les Malcolm), Frank Cooper (Cindy) and Roxanne Kerr (Bob). Proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Marie will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Jean Cameron, Pete Schlorff (Joyce) and Shirley Mills (Wayne) and by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Alda Schlorff her sisters Phyllis Blackman and Sandra Jenks (Robert). Marie loved children, babysitting, going for walks, enjoyed regular visits to Tim Horton and loved her country music.
A Funeral Service for Marie will be held at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. All attending must show proof of double vaccination, wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols.
