Obituary of Wayne Francis Moore
Passed away suddenly at his home in Bobcaygeon on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the age of 79. Wayne Moore was a well-known artist in the Kawartha Lakes Region. His murals adorn such locations as the Kawartha Settlers’ Village and the Boyd Museum in Bobcaygeon. He was very involved with the Kawartha Arts Festival in Fenelon Falls where he displayed and sold his art for many years. With his use of bright colours and loose style, he enjoyed painting landscapes, animals, portraits and commissions. He will be forever loved and missed by his partner, Teddy Furter. Cherished father of Janet Moore of Fernie, British Columbia, Nancy Moore of Newtonville, Ontario, and David Moore of Ajax, Ontario. Loving brother of Anne (Moore) Martin of Newmarket, Ontario. He will be fondly remembered by his granddaughters, extended family, and friends.
A graveside service will take place in the spring of 2021 at Verulam Cemetery, Bobcaygeon. Expressions of sympathy and memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be shared and donations made by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705.738.3222.
