Obituary of Dorene Friesen
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Dorene was predeceased by her parents Elma and George and one brother Andy.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband David, her daughter Laurie, her daughter Sheila (Bob), daughter Mavis (Mario), her grandchildren, Amanda, Melanie (Brandon), Mathew (Kristen), Marisa and Marc and her two great grandchildren William and Amelia. She will be also missed by David’s children Darcy (Doris), Russell (Jennifer), Karen (Ron) and two step grandchildren Taylor and Riley. Also fondly remembered by her first husband, Harry Hawryshko (Sylvia). Dorene will be missed by her special sister, her brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.
Dorene enjoyed dancing, listening to Ukrainian music, playing cards and spending time with her family.
As per Dorene’s wishes, cremation will take place and her ashes will be placed at the Vassar Cemetery, next to her mother, in the summer of 2022.
Donations may be made to the Hillside Lutheran Cemetery in her memory.
