Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Anthony “Tony” Michael White announces his passing which occurred on December 19, 2021, at the Church of St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born in Newfoundland on February 4, 1938, he was the son of the late Anthony and Georgina (Tobin) White.
Tony spent over 25 years working with the City of Saint John in the Water Department. He worked hard but played harder. Tony was a very social man, he enjoyed having some drinks and sharing stories. He was very charming and had a way with words. Tony was an avid outdoors man, in his free time, he would be on his boat fishing or in the woods hunting.
He will be immensely missed by his wife, Hazel Rodgerson; his children Tony (Sharon) White, Frank (Marie) White, Doreen (Kenny) Fleming, Kathy (Greg) Bennett, Roseann White, Georgina (Brent) Grant, Georgina Bennett; brothers Danny, Raymond (Mim), Joe (Linda); sister Jacquelin Snooks, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Tony will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by many brothers and sisters, sister-in-law Barb White and brother-in-law Ty Snooks.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). A graveside service will be held at a later date in Newfoundland.
