Rose Rogers 19442021

Rose Rogers
1944-2021
Mary Rosaleta “Rose” Rogers
(nee Gerrior), passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2021, at
the age of 77 years. We found out Rose had cancer in September 2021,
we are grateful she did not suffer long and was surrounded by her
family at the Aberdeen Hospital. Rose was much beloved by her husband,
Robert “Bob”; and her three children: Terri
(Michael), Marilou (Daniel) and Sandy (Jennifer) Sutherland; her
grandchildren: Christopher, Patrick, Sarah, Drew, Brea, Josef and
Emily; her great-grandchildren: Nora, Sylvia and Matty. She was
predeceased by husband, William McTague; brother, David; and sister,
Marion. She will be greatly missed by her brother, Wayne Gerrior
(Doreen) and sister, Mildred Adams (Bernie) and her many nieces,
nephews and cousins. Rose was born in New Glasgow and lived and worked
her whole life in Pictou County (Trenton, New Glasgow and Ponds).
Nothing kept Rose down; she travelled to many places near and far, was
always visiting Ottawa or Phoenix and even to Ireland a few times.
This autumn, she travelled the province with Robert to Halifax, Cape
Breton and PEI. She was a popular lady and had many, many great
friends who she adored. She told us when she found out she had become
ill that she had lived a full life and did all she wanted to do. A
private visitation and funeral mass will be held. For those attending,
masks, proof of full vaccination and valid ID are required. A
recording of the funeral will be available on the funeral home website
late Tuesday. Interment will be held in the Spring. Donations in her
memory may be made to the Pictou County Palliative Care Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New
Glasgow.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Rose Rogers 19442021..
