RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Leonard Richard 85, of
Richibouctou-Village passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris
Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Friday, December 17, 2021.
Born in Richibouctou-Village, he was the son of the late Oscar Richard
and late Aurore (Richard) Richard. Before retiring, Leonard
was employed as a carpenter.
Leonard will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 67 years,
Elizabeth (Lebelle) Richard of Richibouctou-Village; two daughters,
Marie Thérèse (Jeff) of Windsor, ON, Marie Anne
(Mike) of Guelph, ON; one son, Leonard Junior Richard (Denise) of
Richibouctou-Village; three grandchildren, Collin Streicher
(Alexandra), Jessie Richard (Julie), Ryan Richard (Camilla) and nine
great grandchildren.
He is also survived by one sister, Alvina Richard
(Gérard); two brothers, Leo Richard (Stella), Robert
Richard (Noella) all of Richibouctou-Village and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one infant son,
John “Jackie”; two grandchildren, André, Chantal
and three brothers, René, André and
Edgar.
Visitation and the date and time of the Funeral Mass will be
announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in
Leonard’s memory may be made to the New Brunswick
Alzheimer’s Society. The family would like thank
the staff at the Stella Maris Hospital for their kind and
compassionate care of Leonard.

Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto (523-4252).
