Yolande Léger
1929-2021
Yolande Léger, 92, of Saint-Antoine, passed away peacefully, on
Friday December 17, 2021 at the UHC Dr Georges-L. Dumont, Moncton.
She was married to the late Valmond Léger (2012). Born in
Notre-Dame, she was the daughter of the late Georges and the late
Argentina (Blanchard) Fontaine.
Yolande was well known in her community for her tremendous amount of
volunteer work at la Cachette.
She will be sadly missed by her ten children; Claudette Dupuis (Jules)
of Saint-Antoine, Ginette Caissie (Roger) of Grande-Digue, Jeannette
Léger Cormier (Edward Fairbanks) of Eastern Passage, NS,
Françine Léger (Francis Melanson) of Cocagne, Claude
(Bernice) of Saint-Antoine, Normand (Anne) of Saint-John, Denis,
Georges (Jeannie) of Dieppe, Ronald (Sandra) of Surrey, BC, Roland
(Manon) of Edmundston, her thirteen grandchildren; Martin, Patrick,
Céline, Nadine, Suzanne, Jasmine, Sylvie, Michelle, Nathalie,
Sasha, Corey, Cynthia, Jonathan and eight great grandchildren; Sophia,
Justin, Caleb, Zachary, Corbin, Missy, Curtis and Tessa. She also
leaves to mourn her three sisters; Venolia Léger of Moncton,
Patricia Vallant of Calgary, Bernice Poirier of Shediac Bridge, one
brother; Roger of Sudbury, ON as well as several nephews and
nieces.
She was predeceased by one brother Donald.
Public visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine L’Ermite
Roman Catholic Church on Monday December 20, 2021 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm
followed by a private funeral Mass at the Saint-Antoine Church at 4:00
pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
