Obituary of Marion Isabel Pickard
Marion Pickard, a lifetime resident of Thamesville from 1924-2019 passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Wallaceburg Retirement Residence. Her husband William Pickard pre-deceased in 1990. Marion was a long-time employee of Bulldog Steel Wool in Thamesville. She is survived by her son William and wife Helen of Thamesville: grandsons William of Thamesville; Andrew, Shannon and great grandchildren Clark and Lilyana of Dresden, and Aaron, Kyla and great grandson Brendyn of Chatham. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered for her years of dedication to her family. She is also survived by a sister, Grace Cook of Peterborough. The daughter of the late James and Maryanne June of Thamesville, she is predeceased by sisters Lillian Sayers of Dresden, Ethel Moody of Kingsville, Elsie Pettipiece of Chatham and Joanne Osborne of Thamesville, brothers Albert June of Windsor, and brothers Donald and Murray June of Thamesville. Her extended family includes numerous nephews, nieces and their children. Mother brought many smiles and happy moments to those around her. The family would like to thank the management of the Wallaceburg Retirement Residence, 70 Duke Street, Wallaceburg for their dedication and care of Marion during her stay there from 2020 to 2021. Per Marion’s wishes there was no funeral service and cremation has taken place. Arrangements were entrusted to John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville. .
