Maxine Marion (Connors) Manning
1927-2021
BASS RIVER, NB – With her daughters by her side, Maxine
Marion (Connors) Manning of Connors Road, Bass River, NB passed away
peacefully in her home, by her river on Wednesday, December 15th 2021.
Born in Bass River, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Julia
(Elward) Connors.
Macie will be dearly missed by her daughters, Gail Donaher
(Carl), Julie Thompson (Glen), Jessie Soucoup (Bill) and Kim Wolfe;
grandchildren, Ross, Glenn, Shannon, Erin and Jeffrey; eight great
grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; sister, Janet Warman;
step-children Brenda, Christine, Robert, Artie and Darlene; as well as
her pets Max, Taz and any of Mother Nature’s creatures that
visited her doorstep.
Besides her parents, Macie was predeceased by her husband,
Arthur L Manning; siblings, Owen, Emmett, Flo, Billy, Mona, Donnie and
Fay; stepson, Freddie; and sons-in-law, Gordie Campbell and Wayne
Wolfe.
At Macie’s request, there will be no visitation at
the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private
family funeral will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church,
Browns Yard on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at
3pm. Friends are welcome to take part in a radio service at
105.1FM from the vicinity of the church. All will be welcome to
participate at the graveside committal service following the
funeral.
Special thanks to the wonderful extra mural nurses who cared
for Macie.
In memory of Macie, donations can be made to St.
Paul’s Anglican Church or your local SPCA.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, those invited to
attend the funeral service will be required to provide proof of double
COVID-19 vaccination and government issued ID before entering the
church, masks are mandatory (including at the cemetery for the
graveside committal) and we ask that social distancing is
respected.
