70 years.
It is with broken hearts we announce his unexpected passing at his residence on Sunday, December 12th, 2021.
Beloved husband and best friend of 48 years to Helen Demore (née Giroux). Loving father of Guy (Guylaine), and Paul (Ian). Cherished Pepérè of Matthieu and Christian. Predeceased by his parents Aldege and Adela Demore (née Carriere), and siblings Roger, Stella, Yvon, and Eddy. He is survived by the Giroux family, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Leo was born on January 25th, 1951 in Sudbury. He worked in the mining industry at INCO for 33 years. He enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, blueberry picking, and always a had a good joke to make us smile. He was a Montreal Canadian fan, and enjoyed spending time with his wife, sons and grandsons.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. A memorial mass will be held at St. Jacques Church in Hanmer and will be announced shortly. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
