1928-2021
Laurie Cormier, 93, of Saint-Antoine passed away peacefully surrounded
by his children on Friday December 10, 2021 at the Manoir Saint-Jean
Baptiste, Bouctouche. Born in Saint-Antoine, he was the son of the
late Félix and the late Marie-Louise (Robichaud) Cormier.
He will be sadly missed by his six children; Bernice Halford, Eileen
Falconer and Maria Velthuis (Henk) of Salisbury, Arthur Cormier
(Joanne), Lynne Cormier (Bernard) of Notre-Dame, Anne Jones (Garry) of
Brechin, ON as well as thirteen grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn three sisters;
Fédélice Thibodeau of Dieppe, Anise Maillet of
Saint-Antoine, Maria Maillet of Saint-Norbert, his friend Germaine
Boudreau and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by six sisters; Dorice, Claire, Léona, Lina,
Élévanie and Thérèse and three brothers; Nazaire,
Aurèle and Émile.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday December 14, 2021 from 1:00
pm to 3:00 pm followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at
3:00 pm. Interment will be in the Saint-Antoine parish cemetery.
PROOF OF VACCINATION, ID AND FACE MASK ARE MANDATORY AT THE FUNERAL
HOME AS PER THE PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES.
In Laurie’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and
Stroke foundation. If you wish to send a message you may do so on line
