Agnes Francis Bak Gadsby Friday December 10th 2021

BAK, Agnes Francis Rennie (nee Gadsby) October 4, 1937 – December 10, 2021.
Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our mother, Agnes Bak, at Albright Manor in Beamsville. After more than 58 years of marriage, Agnes was predeceased by her loving husband, Stephen Joseph, in February of this year. Devoted mother to David (Marcie), Stephanie (Robin) and Adrian. Agnes was so proud of her eight grandchildren Erica, Nadia, Katrina, Ava, Helene, Stefan, Connor and Amelie and felt blessed to have so many wonderful nieces and nephews, including a few GREATS. Mom is dearly missed by her sister Mary and her brother Hugh (Catherine). Agnes was predeceased by her brothers George and David Gadsby.
Agnes enjoyed a fulfilling career that began in lab technology and extended into management and consultant roles in Haematology within MDS Laboratories. She was a most creative individual who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and was quite accomplished as a painter. In her retirement, she was an avid bridge player with the St. Catharines Bridge Club. As a skilled baker, Agnes was famous for her Scottish shortbread and meringues.
We sincerely and gratefully acknowledge the loving care and support provided by every staff member at Albright Manor. The knowledge that our mom was in a safe and kind environment gave us tremendous peace as we assisted her in her final months of life. Too many to name, but special thanks to Liegha, Nancy, Gail, Joan, Justine, Lynn, Taylor and Tamara. Words cannot adequately express our appreciation for all your hard work and dedication.
Visitation is taking place on Friday, December 17th, from 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm at PELHAM FUNERALHOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill. Proof of double vaccination is mandatory and face masks and social distancing is required.
