Odis Duncan Crawford 1937 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce
the peaceful passing of Odis Duncan
Crawford on December 9, at the Moncton City Hospital
after a lengthy battle with Multiple Myeloma.
He leaves behind the great love of his
life, Neita (Allen) Crawford of 64 years, and his children Lillian
(Donald) Davis, Elizabeth (Scott Mullin) Crawford, Denise (David)
Gormley, Paul (Angela) Crawford, Steven (Dawn) Crawford, whom he loved
very much, as well as his grandchildren, Benoit and Annie
Crawford-LeBlanc (Gilbert), Arielle (Matt) Hazel, Mercedes (Kyle)
Crawford, Abby Hodder, Jacqueline (Brent) Peters, Lydia (Sam) Gormley,
Ellen (Larry) Davis, Evan Davis, Kevin Crawford and Mikayla Hand –
whom he adored, and a very special great grandson, Connor Hazel, as
well as his sisters, Joyce (Arthur) Perry and Jean
Crawford.
Odis was a lifelong fisherman and boat
builder, a job and passion he loved very much. He was a hard
worker all of his life and was always ready and willing to help
everyone in need; an active member of his community, you could always
count on him to be there. He was a man with a big heart,
very devoted and generous to his family and friends. He
greeted his sickness with a positive attitude and always a warm smile
for everyone who cared for him, known to be a quiet and loving person
and true gentleman to the very end.
Besides his parents Trueman and Annie
Crawford, sister Mary Walton (Powell), daughter in law, Gail Crawford
and infant daughter, Suzanne Charlene.
Thanks to his homecare workers, Rose
MacLelland and Gwen Phinney, Extra Mural, Dr. Stewart, Dr. Abdel
Samad, Dr. Landry-Darisme, Dr. Theriault, Dr. Gillette, Dr. Mullins,
and all the wonderful and caring nurses in palliative care at the
Moncton Hosptial and Westford Nursing Home for their support and
comfort along his journey.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Jones Funeral Home, Port
Elgin, NB. No services will be held at this time at the
request of the family.
Donations can be made to the Dr. Sheldon
Rubin Oncology Department, The Moncton Hospital, or The Westford
Nursing Home, Port Elgin.
