RON McNABB December 07 2021

December 07, 2021
It is with extremely heavy hearts that we wish to announce the sudden passing of Ronald Paul Michael McNabb, peacefully with his family by his side, on Tuesday December 7th, 2021 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Age 68 years.
Ron is the cherished and loving husband of Marilyn Plater-McNabb for 44 years and the precious father to Liam (Valerie), Byron (Ashley) and Martha. His grandchildren Charlie, Adelaide, Marlowe and Yale all carry his love of life and their love for him. His loving parents Bruce and Margaret McNabb predeceased Ron along with his brother Bruce Jr. (Christine), sister Mary Catherine, and brother-in-law Douglas. Ron will be sadly missed by his brothers Gary (Joan), Bill, and Rick (Bev) along with the Plater side of the family: Nancy (Bill), Bob (Pat), Greg (Bonnie), Lyle (Virginia) and Linda (Harald). His numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and employees are all heartbroken as well. Ron was indeed a friend to all.
Ron is out on his last boat ride. Forever missed, but always remembered out on the Bay.
Family and friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (705-746-5855) on Wednesday, December 15th from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M.
A private interment will take place at Sylvan Acres Cemetery in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.

My sincere condolences to Ron’s family.
Ron and his business were iconic in Parry Sound. Ron was a great friend to CLPS as an employer of people with disabilities, sponsor, and donor. Ron had a compassionate heart and a generous spirit. Ron was a consummate story teller who always made you feel welcomed and appreciated. Ron will be truly missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Cherished as a friend. Ron and I went to southwestern Ontario in 1988. Bought 100 chairs for Mr. Bs with him. We arrived around 2 in the morning. He always had a story. One of Parry Sound’s finest, honest, caring, and very much in tune with the local news (gossip) that we loved to share and laugh about. I’m sure we will see Ronnie down the road .j

  2. Tom and I were so sad to hear of Rons sudden passing. He will be missed. When we ventured in for our chats at Parry Sound/Ashley furniture, Ron always greeted us with a smile and a long chat. He definitely had the gift of gab, and we loved listening to what Marilyn and his children and grandkids were up to in life. Even though we never met all of you, we always felt we knew you all , just from chatting with your hubby/dad.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time
