Obituary of Mildred Pietz-Mosolf
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Mildred D Pietz-Mosolf on Monday, December 6 , 2021 at the age of 92.
Mildred was born and raised in Port Colborne where she lived her whole life. She is survived by her 5 children, Jim (Kyle), Cindy (Dale), Heather (Dan), Jeffrey (Sue) and Tracey, 10 grandchildren Jason (Julie), Jessica (Brian), Angela, Bob, Chris (Sanne), Scott (Stephanie), Adam (Aly), Brian (Kelsie), Kevin (Vicki), and Carl (Samantha). Also survived by 11 great grandchildren +1 on the way.
Mildred is predeceased by her parents Pearl & William Kramer, her brothers Rev. Alfred Kramer (Dorothy), Harold Kramer (Dorothy), her first husband Harold Pietz, second husband Harold (Moe) Mosolf and granddaughter Amy.
Mildred loved to bake and in recent years would bake her famous coffee buns and give them to her neighbours at Portal Village. She was also known for her famous white fruitcake at Christmas time.
The family extends sincere thanks for the care and kindness that Mom received from the 4th Floor West staff of WCGH Palliative Care Nurses and Doctors.
At Mom’s request there will be no visitation with arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, Port Colborne, Ontario.
A private burial has taken place at St. Paul’s Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer
Society.
