Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion in Carbonear on December 2, 2021, Juanita Best, age 87, of Thornlea, Newfoundland. Predeceased by loving husband Edward, daughter-in-law Glendene, mother Minnie, step-father George. Leaving to mourn with fond memories are her children: Millicent (Dennis), Calvin (Toni), and Glenn (Connie); grandchildren: Dion (Carrie), Bradley (Geriann), Meghen (Stephen), Katie (Shannon), Lucas; great-grandchildren: Damian (Megan), Finley, Autumn, Hailee, Zayna, Maya, Rosie, and Janie; brother Clayton (Doris); sisters: Geraldine (Clyde, deceased), Rita (Reg, deceased); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Juanita will be forever remembered for her quick wit, selflessness, and compassion for others. A very special thank you to the staff of 2 South, Pte. Squibb Pavilion. Your thoughtfulness and caring are very much appreciated. Resting at Faith United Church, Thornlea Friday, December 3 @7-9pm, and Saturday, December 4 @11am-2pm & 4pm-7pm. Funeral to take place Monday December 6 at 11am. Interment to follow in the Thornlea United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thornlea United Church Cemetery Fund. Please be advised that all public health COVID protocols, including proof of vaccination, will apply during visitation and the funeral.
