Our love for you will never go away and Mom we know you will be beside us every day.
It is with deep sadness and unending love that we announce the loss of Madeleine Marie Eloise Holterhus.
Maddy had family by her side as she peacefully passed on November 27, 2021.
Madeleine leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years Arnold, children Brian, Anita (Jeff), Jason (Mandy), grandchildren Brendan, Riley, Owen, Gina, Emmett and Vivienne, sisters and brothers Evangeline (Louis), Michel (Kathy), Roger (Bernadette), Rogelle (Wilfred), Denise, Yvonne (Tom), Marie (Gerry), as well as numerous loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Lucien, mother Honorine, brothers Denis, Laurier, and sister Angele.
Our Maddy lived life to her fullest and faced any challenge put in front of her, including her fight with cancer with unparalleled strength, determination and grace. Her family meant everything to her and her life lit up spending time with her grandchildren whether it was watching them play the sports they loved or simply spending time with them playing games, sometimes competitively. She always thought of others first no matter what she was going through.
All are welcome for the celebration of Madeleine’s life at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. Connelly-McKinley is participating in the restrictions exemption program which will allow attendance to everyone who has proof of vaccination via QR code or a negative COVID test in the last 72 hours.
