Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin, Sister-in-Law, and friend Bernice Ear.
Bernice was the fourth of seven children born to parents Alex and Leah Ear. She was the last surviving matriarch of the Ear family and as such, will be dearly missed.
In her younger years, making dry-meat and tanning hides were two of her many passions, next to bingo, scratch and win lottery and cooking. She taught her daughters and granddaughters the art of moss bags. She was a kind, humble individual who had a smile for anyone she came across. She supported her grandchildren in all their endeavors and was their number one fan.
We have been very blessed to have her in our lives, and the short time she was with us will be cherished forever. We find solace in knowing that she is back with loved ones gone on before her. Loved ones that she so dearly missed.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing, Sons; Patrick and Roy. Her six daughters; Pam, Ingrid, Tanniea, Nerissa, Aimee, and Martha. 20 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention as she comes from a large family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Roy Dixon (2018); Son Miles (2020); Daughters Kaylin (1977) and Janine (2015). Parents Alex and Leah; Sisters Doris, Doreen, Barbara, Angelina; Brothers Alvin and Farley.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Vulcan Long-Term Care Centre for the loving care they gave our mom during her short stay, and the Stoney Trail Wellness Centre Home Care Department. The family apologizes if they missed mentioning anyone.
Wake services will be held at the Ear residence on Thursday December 2nd, 2021, and Friday December 3rd, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 4, 2021. Interment to follow at Eden Valley Cemetery.
