Obituary
Kenneth Wilbur Whillans of High River, passed away at the High River Hospital on November 29th, 2021 at the age of 92 years. He was born in Blackie, Alberta on May 24th, 1929 to Alice Ellen (Powell) and William Hay Whillans.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter Linda Arlene (Elson), his son Ervine George Whillans, his adopted children, Anthony “Tony” Whillans and Colleen Whillans. He is also survived by his brother Wilfred
“Bill” Lawrence Whillans, fifteen grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenneth is predeceased by his parents, his wife Dora Louise (Holmes), his daughter Kathleen “Kay” Dale (Sornberger), his son Joseph “Joe” Kenneth Whillans, and his adopted son Bill Whillans. His brothers, William (who died shortly after birth), George, Jim, and Lou also passed before him, along with his sister Joyce (McDermott).
Funeral services for Mr. Whillans will be in care of Snodgrass Funeral Home, High River. The date is yet to be determined, but you are encouraged to contact the family for further information or check the funeral home obituary website for updates at snodgrassfuneralhomes.com. The service will be held at Salvation Army Church in High River with interment to follow at Mountainview Memorial Gardens in Calgary. Please be aware that there are covid restriction in place that limits attendance to 50 people.
