Bernice
SAUNDERS, went
peacefully to be with her Lord
on November 26,
2021. Bernice’s local family
includes daughter Barbara (Wayne) Long,
grandchildren Jennifer (Matthew) van
Gennip,
Sheldon (Nicole) Long,
Heather (Dave) Wilkinson, and
their children.
Bernice was a
vibrant and
kind woman, loving,
supportive and beloved
wife to Don, daughter,
daughter-in-law, sister,
sister-in-law, mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend,
colleague, neighbour, and volunteer.
She will be
lovingly remembered.
Bernice was raised on
the family homestead in Saskatchewan
and ventured
east to
Ontario where she
trained and worked as a nurse.
During her long
life, Bernice treated people with genuine
interest and respect.
She touched many lives during her years as
a nurse and later while conducting
tours across Canada and
the US. She has left her family and friends a rich legacy of faith,
kindness, and generosity. Those who knew her
will treasure their memories
of her faithful
prayers, infectious
laugh, joy
in dancing, and her love
of life
itself.
The family wishes to acknowledge their
gratitude for the loving care provided by Carleton Manor
staff.
There will be no
visitation.
Service arrangements to be
decided at a later
date.
In lieu of
flowers, donations may
be made to The
Carleton Manor Foundation, The Gideons (Registered
Name: ShareWordGlobal), or a
charity of your choice.
