Kenneth Laurits Buus
On November 22, 2021 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba with his wife Anjela at his side Ken peacefully passed away.
Ken was born May 5, 1973 in Winnipeg Manitoba to Poul and Linda Buus. The second of three children.
The family moved to “The Farm” in East Selkirk in 1985. There was no other place that Ken wanted to live. He started working for the family business at a young age and never looked back. He loved fishing, hunting, the outdoors and spending time with all of his families. In 1991 he met Anjie and that was the beginning of their adventures.
Ken made lasting impressions on all he met. He loved to spend time flirting and dancing with all of his friends grandmothers, mothers and aunts. He loved life and lived it to its fullest. He worked hard and treated all he met as family.
If you did not know Kenny Buus at the beginning of the event by the end of the night you did. Not one person was spared from his loving but mischievous smile, his hugs or the numerous kisses he would be bestow on absolutely everyone; male and female alike.
There were very few places in Manitoba you could go without the fateful….. Hey where you from?……Selkirk? OH! You know Kenny Buus?
Ken leaves to cherish his life his wife Anjela; son Jonas Jonatanson (Britt); daughters Tori Jonatanson (Victor Smith), Grayce and Liberty Buus; grandchildren Jostyn, Evelyn and Yzetta Jonatanson; parents Poul and Linda Buus, Grant and Donna Smale; sisters Cheryl Buus and Nancy Chura (Russell); sister-in-law Jackie Kormilo (Glen); brother-in-law John Gulewich; nephews Sean Kormilo, Kodi Farrow, Damon and Koltin Chura; nieces Brianna (Tyler), Pepper (Keanu), Tarin (Keenan), Mary Lynn Lavallee, and Connley McLachlan (Gerald); Ryan Jensen, Bree Whitwell and Zack Irving who were like children to him; as well as countless aunts, uncles and cousins of the Buus, McLean, Smale, Loutit and Gulewich families.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, Mb. Proof of vaccination will be required to attend. The service will be livestreamed on Ken’s obituary at Gilbart’s website.
