On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, David Francis Howe passed away peacefully at the Creston Valley Hospital with his family and friends by his side. Dave was born on February 2, 1953 in Dryden, Kenora District, Ontario to Archie and Frances Howe. Dave was one of two children born to them – just Dave and his sister Shirley.
Dave worked many years with CP Rail and enjoyed his retirement in Creston. Dave married his wife Judith on December 29, 1995. They enjoyed their lives together in the valley where Dave was a member of the Creston Golf Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #29 in Creston. He was a very social person and enjoyed entertaining and cooking for his friends and family. He also enjoyed travelling to new places and taking in all they had to offer. Dave was very creative when it came to woodworking and created a great variety of projects for friends, family and the Creston community, including his own home that he shared with Judy.
Dave leaves behind his wife Judy. His only child Stacey Howe and her husband Thorsten Abel. Two stepdaughters and their husbands: Julie and Colin Jack, Jody and Jared Gorai. He also leaves behind four grandchildren; Owen, Miranda, Emma and Ben and his sister, Shirley Meaden. Dave was predeceased by his parents, Archie and Frances Howe.
There will be no funeral service held at this time. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Dave’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 565 W 10th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Z 4J4.
