Joan Audrey Whitehorne Stevens October 25 1930 November 22 2021 (age 91)

Tributes
The family of Joan Audrey Stevens (nee Whitehorne) sadly announces her passing on Monday November 22nd in Ottawa Ontario in her 92nd year. She is now at peace and will be lovingly remembered by her son James Stevens (Louise Fleming) of Ottawa.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late Eric Stevens (2005), and was a quiet and steadfast aunt and great-aunt to her nieces and their children. She was predeceased by her siblings Beverly Lawrence (2016) and Jack Whitehorne (2007).
Joan frequently spoke of her time growing up on Crichton street in Ottawa, living in Germany following her marriage to Eric, and returning to Canada by ship pregnant with Jim. She was a personnel officer at OC Transpo in the 1970s and enjoyed family life in Ottawa’s Alta Vista area. An avid reader with a strong memory, Joan was always a terrific resource for details of historical events. She was proud that her father was a member of the RCMP and Prime Minister MacKenzie King’s personal body guard.
Many thanks to the staff at Hunt Club Manor who provided warm and attentive care in her final days. She will be missed by all.
A service in her memory will be held at a future date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Joan Audrey Whitehorne Stevens October 25 1930 November 22 2021 (age 91)..
