Obituary of Phyllis Jones
JONES, Phyllis Hazel – passed away peacefully at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior, on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in her 94th year.
Phyllis Jones, beloved wife of the late Ronald Merton Jones. Loving mother of Harris (Karen), Bruce-John (Diana) & Kevin (Dianne). Fond grandmother of Harris (Lauren), Devon, Tara, Corrine and Adrian. Proud great-grandmother of Penny and Wyatt. Dear sister of Maybella Jones. Predeceased by sister Doris Trevisan and brother Herbert Nicholetts.
Phyllis valued God, family and friends above all else. A deep connection with each one brought her great joy in good times and saw her through the hard ones. Phyllis’ favourite pastimes involved gathering with others, whether for Sunday services or a church dinner, meetings of her Eastern Star chapter or local breast cancer support group, or just a friendly game of bridge or 3-13. She looked for the good in everyone, and for every opportunity to lend a hand.
Phyllis figured largely in the lives of all who knew and loved her. She is sorely missed and fondly remembered.
Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Grace St. Andrew’s Church, 269 John St. North, Arnprior. Interment in Westmeath Union Cemetery. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada or the CNIB would be appreciated). Online donations & condolences are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com
