Glenn Emmons MacKay 1977 2021

MacKay – Glenn Emmons MacKay,
44, died suddenly at the family office on Nov. 22, 2021. He is
survived by his loving wife, Leah Ann Moyer; children Connor, Isabella
and Phoenix; Mother, Donna; Brother, Cody (Emma); father, Glenn
(Tammy); Grandmother, Dorothy Mae Hrynkiw; His in-laws Bruce and Wendy
Buchanan as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by
his maternal grandfather, Eric Johnston, and grandmother, Corinne
MacAusland. As well as his paternal grandparents Lorne and
Isabelle MacKay. Glenn was born kicking and screaming in Truro, N.S.,
in 1977. He loved the fact he was born the same year Star Wars: A New
Hope was released — and he wore his passion for the
franchise on his sleeves, literally. There wasn’t an ear in
Summerside that didn’t hear about his love for Luke and
Anakin Skywalker, and his takes on the Star Wars and Marvel movies.
One of his favourite pastimes was making people laugh and teasing his
family and friends about anything he could imagine, which he did in
the minutes before he passed. Glenn was a loving soul, and cared
deeply about his family and friends. In recent years he had a passion
for racing horses, becoming a trainer and racing across the Island. He
is dearly missed by all, including his weekly Dungeons and Dragons and
Magic: The Gathering groups with his best friends and everyone else
that came to hang out in the clubhouse —a special place for
him. Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where a private family
service will be held. Upon his inconvenient and often-brought-up
request, his family plans to spread his ashes in Scotland. Memorial
donations to the P.E.I. Humane Society would be
appreciated.
