O’LEARY, Marie Lorraine – Cow Bay
Age 94, passed away peacefully November 21, 2021 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Marie was a lifelong resident of Cow Bay, the daughter of the late James and Jennie (Elliot) Osborne. She was a member of Christ Church Cow Bay, Christ Church ACW and Alter Guild and was active as both a Sunday School teacher and superintendent for many years. Marie enjoyed golfing and was a member of Hartlen Point Golf Club; golf tournaments and the ‘Longest Day of Golf’ were always the highlights of her year. Marie talked about working at Eaton’s in her earlier years, it was there she met Ron to whom she was married for 59 years. Marie was a tireless and dedicated caregiver to many during her lifetime. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was very proud of her grandchildren, and her eyes would light up when she was around her great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughters Debbie (Bill) Linton, Barb (Steve) Tilley, grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Linton, Janessa (Ryan) Pageau, Brian (Chelsea) Tilley, Breanna (Cyle) Urquhart, great-grandchildren Hunter, Cooper, Olivia, Lily and Gabriella. Predeceased by her Husband Ron and brother Morton. Thank you to Dartmouth General 5 East for your kind and compassionate care during Mom’s stay. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church Cow Bay, Dartmouth General Hospital or charity of choice. Visitation will take place 6:00-9:00 pm Thursday, November 25 at Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home, 5 Cow Bay Road, Eastern Passage. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 26 at St. Peters Anglican Church, Eastern Passage Rev. Cate Ratcliffe officiating. Reception to follow at the Eastern Passage/Cow Bay Lion’s Club, 65 Hornes Road. Covid precautions will be followed, masks must be worn and proof of vaccination will be required to attend.
